A "green computer" has nothing to do with a monitor and keyboard, rather, the environmental impact involved with the production and recycling on a product. Backup battery or a "super cap" are standard items in a laptopn computer and, again, have nothing to do with the "greenness" of a product.A laptop computer without a display - I cannot think of a more useless device.

True, but here in the US, there are a lot of rural areas in the US that can only access the internet via dial-up (56K or an enhanced 333K modem), so there is still a considerable market here for dial-up.

Don't forget a Cablecard slot option for the TV Tuner.Â
I think touch is an awesome idea considering Windows 7 will use Touch in a more advanced way. |

well if that is true, then the problem lies w/ dell and not this idea...right?! Don't denie yourself and others ideas that provide options only becuase dell applies them rong, you should just add a comment directed towards dell that states your point of not taking glossy displays overboard. Thanks for your comment.

I think Dells top of the range gaming laptop even has SLI graphics and RAID-0 configured hard drives. If you need to move around, it definately the better option.
Of course with a desktop you could get the new Nvidia Quadro. Man that card is a beast! I want three! :oD |

It would be great if Dell started developing a modular laptop now as well, so that in a few years, we could have a laptop with easily interchangeable parts. To keep size down, perhaps a downsized standard could be developed.Â

Three minutes is enough time for the UPSÂ to scream at users for them to save their work though. We have APCÂ UPSes at everyones desk because we are in an old building and suffer brownouts now and then, and it would be smart of Dell to jump into this market!

New Dell Studio 540 desktop with nVidia GeForce 9800GT has intense noise from day 1.
Fan is constantly on, high frequency. Dell tech support is sending a new fan today - will that help? Had Dell PC's for 15 years, but my newest is the noisiest ever. |

We do this with two of our iGen printers. The other three are in a sealed air-conditioned room. The two venting to the outside world work better and produce better quality prints. Well that's what i hear anyways.

The Studio Hybrid is good, however:
It should be offered with if possible with a Desktop Processor or at the very least the newer laptop processors that operate with a 1066 FSB.
