Ability to generated (PDF) Spec Sheets and/or branded quotes from Card or eQuotes for customers By mahandy77,  2 days ago Wed Nov 18 14:36:48 GMT 2009

I spend a lot of time re-generating spec sheets and communicating to the customer exactly what they'll be getting for what price.

It would be nice to see a feature that would generate a PDF (free of prices as not to give away reseller discount) that could be passed onto the customer.

Along those lines, it would be cool if the site would allow generation of PDF based quotes that gave the reseller a chance to input their own prices and perhaps upload a custom logo to "brand" the quote sheet...of course it would still say "DELL" in big letters on it somewhere.

Complete Dell Asset Management By cowprince,  Apr 3, 2009 Fri Apr 03 20:37:56 GMT 2009

I as well as many others I'm sure use some sort of methodology when it comes to asset management.  It could be a database, maybe with a web front-end, a folder structure with random purchase documents, an excel document or any of a number of other methods to tracking your hardware.

What I would like to see is an all encompassing interface on the premier site.  Database with all purchases filtered a number of different ways, maybe on order number, on service tag, on the product itself.  I'd like to see online printable order documentation from beginning to end, the quote, the invoice and the packing slip.  I'd like for my lists to retain addable fields like you would see in an excel document so I could add the machine name if I changed it, maybe our company's asset tag, and who that computer was assigned to.

I do know that some of this exists, but it seems you need special Premier training to accomplish even getting a list of your purchases from X date to X date.

To finish this off, software purchases along with their product keys, order dates, and product names would be fantastic.

All of this along with the ability to export these lists/reports to excel/csv and maybe even pdf.

Any additions to this are quite welcome and encouraged.

ADMIN NOTE:  Thank you for your detailed comments.  Dell will continue to develop and enhance Premier with reporting features and capabilities, but please keep in mind that Premier is designed as a tool for procurement, and not as a scaleable, comprehensive, enterprise level-Asset Management solution.  Currently, there are several different report templates, each of which is downloadable in Microsoft Excel format.  Hopefully these different templates will provide you with the raw data you need to accomplish your asset management objectives.  In the meantime, your suggestions have been entered into our Enhancement Pipeline for consideration and possible future development.

Thanks again for using PremierStorm.

Custom (Generic) Excel Reports By JacRoc,  Sep 21, 2009 Mon Sep 21 13:32:46 GMT 2009

Modify your web site such that Custom (Generic) Excel Reports are not ALL named "Your Customer Report"

When there are more than one report, there is no way of differentiating between the reports.

View Service Tags Online By lbreno742,  Jun 29, 2009 Mon Jun 29 19:16:10 GMT 2009

It would be helpful if we could view service tags online at the Premier site.  Currently I have to obtain paper copies of our invoices from our accounting department and manually enter the tags into our system - which is VERY time consuming!

ADMIN NOTE:  Service Tags are available in Premier, as well as within Support.Dell.com.  "Service Tag Summary" is a standard report template within the Purchase History report options.  Though limited to 1 calendar month, the Service Tag Summary results (as with all Purchase History reports) can be exported in Excel format.

For a larger search, with information such as your Customer Number, you can pull all service tags for up to the past five years in Support.Dell.com.

Regarding invoices, Premier Invoicing allows you to view and print certified electronic copies of your organization's invoices.  Under Quick Links->Reporting, you should see an option titled "Invoices".
If you do not see these reporting options, or if the information you need isn't included in the reports, please contact your Dell Sales Representative, who can enable theses reports for your page, and ensure that the appropriate customer numbers are setup.

 Order history,
Well sometimes it is like pulling teeth to get my order history. When all i want to do is see my past i just can't seem to get  there. Lets make the program so when you click on order history it doesn't give you the run around for 20 minuites to get there, does not have to be that complicated.

Reporting Capabilities Woefully Inadequate - Get a CDW account and see how they do it. By shpjr,  Jul 23, 2009 Thu Jul 23 14:35:02 GMT 2009

Dell needs to put some serious effort into revamping the reporting features in the My Premier site. I like being able to quickly find what I’ve bought from a vendor for any time period and see the columns of information that would be important when doing this such as:

Order Date

Order Number

Manufacturer Part #

Dell Part #

Description

Price

Qty

Invoice Number

I don’t have an internal inventory/purchasing system just yet so when I need something I need to be able to tell you what I need by part number. The only way is to lookup the part number on your site from my purchasing history, which is nearly impossible to do.

The closest report to what I need is a Product Summary. The Report Type, Order Invoiced Status and Order Date Range are the required fields I have to select in order to get a report. Yet, even if I select ‘Year to Date’, it doesn’t honor that and doesn’t give me a report. It only honors the date range I type in.

Once I get some output, it’s grouped by Notebooks, Non_Tied Peripherals and Desktops. If I click on Non_Tied Peripherals I get a list of the products bought in the time frame I entered. However the only columns visible are Description, Qty, Average price and Total Price. I don’t see a way to easily view the details like Order date, part number, etc. The only other way to do it is to run an Order Summary report and drill down into each order to view the details of the order. It’s maddening!!

Purchase History Report Broken...Still By VLantz,  Jul 29, 2009 Wed Jul 29 16:42:19 GMT 2009

The purchase history report is broken and the only answer I can get from my rep is, "Yes, it is and the Premier folks say that it is still broken and they don't have an ETA."

If I told my boss that I don't have any idea when I would be done with a break-fix, it would cost me my job.  How can I trust a company that says they are dedicated to IT and technology when they can't fix a simple report?

ADMIN NOTE:  We appreciate any and all feedback, and the opportunity to address issues that arise with your experience on Premier and other Dell websites.  However, we would ask that submissions for this particular forum be focused on ideas for feature and functionality requests within Premier.

Should you encounter error messages or other technical issues with Premier, or wish to know the status of an issue already reported, please contact our Premier Helpdesk (Premier@Dell.com, or 800-274-3355, Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm Central Time).

Thank you again for your comments.

2) Backordered orders.
3) Orders that are held due to payment problem.
4) News of the day as in Price Drops, New Items, Must sees and whatever will help us make a doller.

Simple Purchase Report By DScotL,  Jul 2, 2009 Thu Jul 02 15:58:06 GMT 2009

I need a way to get a list of purchases by date range. The current interface forces me to *guess* some order information before returning results. I need to simply put in a date range and press 'go' to get a listing of purchases and their status. This could be as simple as removing the 'required' attribute of the order information search field.

ADMIN NOTE: I'm unsure exactly where you're looking, but if you are logged into Premier, you should have access to Purchase History Reports, which will give you a variety of reporting options, including a default order summary report, which gives you orders by calendar month, or custom date ranges.  If you do not see this option, or if the orders needed are not included in the results, please contact your Dell Sales Representative, who can enable the report for your page, and ensure that the appropriate customer numbers are setup.
