We sell a lot of Linux machines - both desktops and servers. Although it is relatively simple to order a server with no OS or RHEL, ordering an Optiplex, Precision, or Vostro with pre-installed Linux is impossible to do through the Premier interface. We have actually ordered through small business to get the n-series machines.
Although I know you may not want to offer every machine with no OS to the general public, those of us who do volume purchases would like to be able to buy them. We have customers with retail copies of Windows and VLKs as well, and it's pointless to make them re-purchase a valid copy of Windows just because you can't order a machine with no OS license.
ADMIN NOTE: We appreciate any and all feedback, and the opportunity to address issues that arise with your experience on Premier and other Dell websites. However, we would ask that submissions for this particular forum be focused on ideas for feature and functionality requests within Premier.
Regarding product offerings, most all products offered in the Small Business site are available within Premier Systems Catalogs, including OptiPlex, Vostro and Precision Workstations offered with FreeDOS, Novell SUSE Linux Embedded, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
Your Dell Account team owns the customization of your Premier page, may simply need to remove a filter to allow these products to display, or add your specified choices as Standard Configurations.
Thank you using PremierStorm.
